Climatecrisis.net

If you'd like to save money and help the environment you will want to visit this website. On the website you can see how you rate overall by taking a little carbon quiz, and thus see what you can improve to help curb your damage to the environment. Even if you aren't sure whether you believe in the whole global warming thing, what is wrong with saving a lot of money?

Here is a nice little chart from ccrane.com that displays the benefits of just changing from your standard bulb to an LED bulb:

Life Span & Energy Consumption Benefits of LED Light Bulbs vs. Incandescent Light Bulbs

Incandescent 60 Watt Light Bulb

CC Vivid 2 Watt LED Light Bulb
Life Span
How long will the light bulb last?
1,000 hours Up to 60,000 hours

Total Cost
After 60,000 hours

Total Savings:
Money saved by installing one CC Vivid LED Light Bulb
Save $353.25 Per Bulb!

Thats savings. Now I wouldn't recommend changing all of your bulbs to LED, since the light distribution is not as good as a standard bulb. What I would recommend is changing out a single bulb from the overhead lights that use more than one, with an LED bulb. Think the kitchen light in your aparment that uses 3 standard bulbs.

So be a tree hugger! Buy an LED and visit climatecrisis.net. And watch An Inconvenient Truth. It might just make you think.
